Vacancy ICT Support Officer

A full-time ICT Support Officer with a “can do” and “to-the-point” mentality.

Function

As an IT Support Officer you will join a team of 5 colleagues. You work for and with customers who use our own IC trace (ERP) software. Much happens remotely, but occasionally you also go onsite (Belgium) for projects or support.

You have varied tasks

  • You are the point of contact (first line technical support) for customers and users in resolving ICT incidents and requests. Network problems, print issues, software or hardware problems? Every incident is a challenge for you!
  • You manage the ticket system (Jira Service Desk). When logging incidents and requests, you ensure a correct analysis of information that can be useful to come to a solution. After assessing urgency and impact, you set priorities and assign tickets to the most appropriate colleague.
  • You set user settings for new equipment (laptops, PCs, printers, thin clients, etc.) for delivery or installation.
  • You are responsible for the purchase and sales administration, receipts and follow-up in IC-trace.
  • Writing uniform user manuals and documentation according to a “how-to” step-by-step plan with chapters and sections.

What do we expect from you?

  • You preferably enjoyed an IT-oriented training (graduate or bachelor) or were equated by knowledge / experience.
  • You have a driving license B.
  • You have some experience in the ICT world, or as an IT helpdesk employee.
  • You have experience with installations, troubleshooting and maintenance (Windows, VMWare, Active Directory, TCP / IP, DNS, ...)
  • You are familiar with PC hardware and printers, Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL Server and network security (switch, router, firewall, VPN)
  • You speak and write fluently Dutch, French and English.
  • You are mature, enthusiastic, positive and you have a hands-on mentality.
  • You can listen and communicate well.
  • You like to analyze problems thoroughly based on your knowledge and logical thinking skills.
  • You have no fear of stress moments, are flexible and willing to move nationally.
  • You are a team player, yet able to work independently.
  • You like to work organized and proactive in the performance of your tasks.

  • Living in the region.
  • To have a good understanding of the basic principles of IT networks, Windows Server, ...
  • Affinity with the food processing industry.
  • Be open to occasional permanence.
