Product labelling

Product labelling

IC-trace supports all types of barcodes (1D, 2D, 3D), so you easily comply with any internal logistics requirements and those of your customers. Moreover, IC-trace allows you to define the content and lay-out of your label yourself, no other label software required.

Product labelling in accordance with client-specific demands

If needed, you can define specific label and barcode content per client, client group or article. You no longer need to create specific articles for certain clients. Labelling is fully automated, so mistakes are out of the question.

Reading third party barcodes

Specifically, when receiving goods (inbound), it is important to optimise the way the accompanying data, available in the supplier’s barcodes, is processed. That way, efficiency of the goods reception procedure is optimised.

Reading internal barcodes

Especially when assembling batches for production and order picking of products for shipment, barcodes are being scanned. In both instances mistakes will be avoided, such as multiple scanning of the same physical product, thanks to the IC-trace concept.

RFID

RFID is the technology used to identify products with RFID tags. Such RFID tag can be used in for instance a label, but these tags come in many shapes and sizes.

RFID allocates a unique number to every (logistics) unit. This ID is then stored in a tag which can be read by a special reader (tag reader). IC-trace is RFID ready since all finished goods that have been produced and stored in the database have been allocated a unique ID. To use IC-trace with RFID technology, you only need specific equipment.
