A brand with history

Before Food IT-Solutions NV was founded in 1988, Computer AdviesBureau voor KMO cv was started up, right when the professional PC broke through and SMEs required IT support. Analyses to gauge automation needs in all kinds of businesses led to the development of in-house software for several industries, such as food, abattoirs and related activities.

Right from the beginning, Willy translated his know-how of the food industry in an innovative and modular B2B software system: IC-trace (InterCompany Traceability), aimed specifically at abattoirs and meat processing plants. This software offers an all-in-one solution for all issues related to logistics, enables integration with the production process and complies with all EU weighing and labelling regulations.

Over the years, Computer AdviesBureau voor KMO changed into CAB-Software nv to become a prominent supplier in the meat industry. The large number of innovations and healthy growth inevitably required the move to a new and modern office building, including a training centre. 

That move and growth also triggered the launch of a new corporate style and company name: Food IT-Solutions, a name that actually expresses so much more than our goals: making IC-trace available to the entire food industry, not to the meat processing industry solely, but to trading companies as well. We also want to provide services to satisfy the increased need for pure consultancy, in Belgium as well as abroad.

Today, Food IT-Solutions offers more than 30 years of know-how. Combined with the personal drive of the owner and the team, Food IT-Solutions still speaks their clients’ language. Even in the context of digitisation at the speed of lightning, we provide stability and a solid automation approach applicable to all processes in the food industry.
